Introduction:

The organisation Action for Reduction Hunger and Illiteracy (ARHI) was founded by a Group of Somali intellectuals.  The Group manages and still manages two schools in Kaaraan District in Mogadishu, Somalia. Somalia is one of the poorest Countries in the world. In 1991, the country descended into Civil War and Clan Wars.      This country Somalia, needs international support in every angle. Our organisation could not close its eyes to the suffering of the Somali people. After the founding of this Organisation, we succeeded in renovating two Schools in Kaaraan District, Mogadishu, Somalia, and we also bought necessary equipment like school materials and generators in 2008.  In 2011 when there was a Famine in Somalia, we also joined the international community with the help of Nederlanse organisation called Cordaid and Stichtingsador. We provided emergency food aid for around 650 families in and around Mogadishu. In 2015 we succeeded in building a mother and child clinic with the necessary Medical Equipment, plus an Ambulance. This hospital is giving medical attention to around 60,000 people who live near and surrounding areas.

We have also completed A Youth Project which we distributed boats to young Somalis and trained them to be fishermen in 2024. We also distributed Emergency Food for Drought-affected people in Allanley Village is 100 KM from Mogadishu, which comes under the Jurisdiction of Warsheikh of Hir-shabbelle State of Somalia.

With all the Successes we mentioned above were realized by the Help of the Somali Aid Development Organization and Rehabilitation (Stichtingsador)  and its donor Partners In Nederland. We thank them for their continuous Support for the Somali People.

 Project Emergency Food Distribution.

This Project is about  war-affected people who run for their lives and who left all that they had behind because of the ongoing fighting between the Somali Government and the Al-Shabaab Group.  Those who fled their home were mainly nomads and their lives depended on their livestock and small farms, which they cultivated during the rainy season. These people are now displaced and ran away for their lives to safe place far away from the ongoing fight.  There are around 150 families who are displaced in Hirshabelle  and Galmudug States . We know what we are distributing is not sufficient but if every Organization does a bit then it will help. If this project succeeds, this will be the third time we are distributing Emergency Food to the people who need help the most.

We have a Quotation of 13950 Euros   from Bishaaro General Trading Company and its details you will see in a separate Quotation letter.

 

 

Project start and end dates:

We are planning to start this project on 01/10/2025 and Finish on 31/12/2025.

This project, as it is an Emergency Food Distribution, can start and finish as soon as sufficient fund is found.
